We recently hosted an event and hired Monoculture as our caterer in Bozeman, and Dusty exceeded all of our expectations. He was incredibly responsive and communicative. He worked with us on our various ideas to formulate the perfect menu, and not only did he create a great layout, but he executed it beautifully. From the presentation, execution, and service, Dusty excelled in every way. We were blown away by his craftsmanship. Not to mention, he is a lovely person. If you are looking for a caterer in Bozeman for a sit-down dinner, a party, or any other event, Dusty is the best choice for catering in the Bozeman area! We will be using Monoculture for all of our catered events in Bozeman and greater Montana moving forward. Thank you, Dusty!

We were blown away by everything from the last minute booking, menu, presentation and taste! The food was excellent and he was able to incorporate fresh ingredients he grew himself. Highly recommend. Great experience for our party of 10 people!

From the very beginning, Dusty was nothing but professional and was able to provide exceptional service for my clients in a tight time crunch. He was very easy to communicate with and personalized every aspect to ensure my client's were nothing but taken care of and satisfied. My client said this experience was the highlight of their trip to Big Sky. Thanks Dusty!

“Dusty prepared a tasting menu/chef's counter experience for me and my husband on our ski trip to Big Sky. From the initial email to the final clean up after our dinner, he was extremely prompt and professional. The menu was beyond inventive and we were blown away with how truly "farm-to-table" and "from scratch" the experience was. We would definitely recommend Monoculture Commissary for a special experience in Bozeman/Big Sky area.”

"If you are looking for thoughtfully curated food and a unique experience then Monoculture Commissary is the right place! I’ve had the pleasure of dining in both a private setting and in a group farm dinner. Each meal was perfectly thought out, prepared, and introduced. I love being exposed to new foods and flavors when eating Chef Dusty’s creations. If you have the chance to try his food in any setting, don’t hesitate!”

“My much anticipated Montana sourced five course meal by Chef Dusty far exceeded my expectations. His passion and respect for the land he lives on is artfully and deliciously displayed in every dish. From the fermented river bistort garnishing the beet salad to the ranch raised pork and beef to the quintessential Flathead Lake cherry and wild huckleberry dessert (not pictured because I was too excited to eat it and forgot...) every course is perfectly balanced, thoughtful and gorgeous. The flavor combinations are so unique and surprising I could never tire of these meals. To have Chef Dusty cook in your home is to have a part of him and Montana your at your table.”

“What can I say. My wife and I enjoyed our first trip to Bozeman, Montana and we wanted to hire a local chef who specializes in dishes using local ingredients that exhibit a regional Montana style. He killed it!!! I would recommend Dusty for anything from a private dinner to a large group catering.”

“Sometimes, the best things in life are the unplanned surprises, especially when you veer off the beaten path. We had an opportunity to experience Chef Dusty and his team'’s delectable dinner event in Livingston MT on September 9, 2023 at Black Dog Farm. It is incomparable to any Michelin Star restaurant because this experience in its entirety is what made the 5-course dinner so memorable: the picturesque Montana sunset after a double rainbow casting in the background; the intricate details to the sourcing, preparing, cooking, and artistically displaying each course; sharing of wine and stories with guests around the table from different corners of the world; and the incredible leap of faith it must have taken for Chef Dusty's culinary journey to breakout of the "restaurant scene" and take a chance on something that is truly unique. Thank you for sharing your gift in the culinary arts with us and being sustainably conscious in the process. Your passion will take you far, Chef!”

“I've been fortunate to have Dustin's cooking frequently. Chef's dinners with beer pairing and the fantastic outdoor extravanagza at Black Dog Farms as well as the slyly elevated pub food at Shred Monk.
The cooking is some of the best in the valley. Precise, inventive with a high flavor to bite ratio. Particularly exciting are his explorations with fermentation and turning parts of plants and animals often discarded into delicious components. Can't wait for the next flavor-packed meal!”
